Chase Park, a Chicago Park District Park that is located near the corner of Ashland and Leland on the North Side, has an annual Shakespeare festival. This year, the Festival will be performing "Twelfth Night", with this most usical of of Shakespeare's plays to be accompanied by the music of John Dowland. Performances will be on Fridays and Saturdays from mid-November through mid-December. The Festival needs musicians: recorders, strings, percussion, and especially lute or classical guitar. Singers are also warmly encouraged to audition: the Clown, Sir Toby, Sir Andrew, and Viola will all be singing roles. Unfortunately, this is a low-budget production: all we musicians will get is the pleasure of playing beautiful music before appreciative audiences. If you're interested in playing, please contact Fred Butzen (fwb@lepanto.com). Please mention what you play, and when you're available to get together. Warmest regards ...
