Concert for Compassion – An Early Music Concert for Disaster Relief Phillip W. Serna, teacher, double bassist & gambist, has organized a disaster relief concert in Naperville with Pastor David Huff of Grace Fellowship Church. The purpose is to raise money for charity while performing early string works that are not often performed in the western suburbs if at all. Performers include Ken Perlow, Phillip W. Serna, Mary Springfels (Chicago’s Newberry Consort), Craig Trompeter & Russell Wagner, viols & Jerry Fuller (Chicago’s Ars Antigua), violone. Featuring music by Gibbons, Jenkins, Holbourne & others.
