The Callipygian Players announce their Spring 2006 concert “Vivaldi’s Venice”. Come and hear this exciting ensemble playing music of the Baroque era using period instruments. Venice was one of the most important cultural cities during the Baroque era. Wherever one looked - in the cathedral, the opera or even the orphanages - a famous composer was sure to be found. Focusing on Vivaldi and his teacher Giovanni Legrenzi, the Callipygian Players will treat their audiences to instrumental sonatas and cantatas for soprano solo. Baroque violinist/Director Martin Davids will be joined by violinist David Douglass, cellist Craig Trompeter, harpsichordist David Schrader, and soprano Julia Davids. PERFORMANCES: Saturday April 29, 2006, 8:00 PM Trinity United Methodist Church 1024 Lake Ave, Wilmette, IL Sunday April 30, 2006, 2:30 PM St. Chrysostom’s Church 1424 N.
