Early Music at the Byron Colby Barn presents
The Chicago Early Music Consort
Rejoice and Be Merry

Acclaimed as an "imaginative" ensemble presenting "delicate, flawlessly played music," the Chicago Early Music Consort recreates the rich and diverse sounds of the late Renaissance and early Baroque chamber repertoire. For their annual Christmas concert they have assembled a program of Carols, Noels, and other holiday music from all over old Europe, some familiar and some seldom heard. There will be pieces by composers such as Mateo Flecha, Michael Praetorius, Samuel Scheidt, Henry Lawes, Tobias Hume, and Robert de Visee. Join them in celebrating the sounds of the season as they might have sounded 400 years ago.
All concerts are on Sundays and cost $15 per ticket. Children under 16 are free. A subscription to the whole series of six concerts is $72, a savings of $18. As always at the Barn, you may BYOB. Directions: From I94, exit Route 120 west. Drive about 4.5 miles. At the intersection with Route 45, turn left (south). Turn right at the next light, which is Jones Point Road. The Barn and parking will be on your left.
