Dear Friends,
The Schola Antiqua of Chicago has been enjoying its first year of residency at the University of Chicago in 2006-7. It is indeed a rare opportunity for a university to enlist a vocal group as an 'artist-in-residence', let alone one that specializes in music of the Middle Ages! Although we have been involved with a number of projects this year, they have generally been on a small scale, designed for the direct benefit of the faculty and students of the university community.
However, on Sunday March 4 (5pm), Schola Antiqua will provide the music for a choral evensong/vespers in the university's magnificent Rockefeller Memorial Chapel. It is free and open to the public. I hope you can come out and show your support for the ensemble.
