The Callipygian Players will close their 2006-2007 season with "Fabulous Concertos" -- music of Vivaldi, Corelli, Tessarini and others. Vivaldi’s Opus 3 volume of concertos, L’Estro armonico, brought the violin concerto into prominence. His concerti were embraced throughout Europe with great enthusiasm. The Callipygian Players will perform two from this set, the famous A minor solo concerto, and a concerto for four violins. A concerto grosso of Corelli’s will also be heard, Works by Tessarini, Leclair and even John Dowland will round out the program. Baroque violinist/Director Martin Davids will be joined by violinists Garry Clarke, Gregory Maytan, and Isabelle Rozendaal, violist Elizabeth Hagen, cellist John Mark Rozendaal, harpsichordist David Schrader, and Jerry Fuller on violone. PERFORMANCES: Saturday May 19, 2007, 7:30 PM, Trinity United Methodist Church, 1024 Lake Ave, Wilmette, Illinois Sunday May 20, 2007, 2:30 PM, St. Chrysostom’s Church 1424 N.
