This musical feast features fresh arrangements of timeless pieces and Bella Voce’s signature treatment of Renaissance classics. Under the baton of artistic director Andrew Lewis, the ensemble will perform holiday music that will move and inspire.
The performances will be held:
Saturday, December 8, 7:30 p.m.
St. Procopius Abbey
5601 College Road, Lisle
Sunday, December 9, 4:00 p.m.
St. Luke's Episcopal Church
939 Hinman Avenue, Evanston
Andrew Lewis is very excited for this year’s performance. “I have so much fun programming Bella Voce's "Holiday Delights" concert. The repertoire is vast and varied; it's such a joy to discover eclectic little gems and place them alongside heart-warming and familiar pieces.”
Tickets are available on Bella Voce’s website, http://bellavoce.tix.com. Prices are $38.00 for premium tickets, $30 for general admission, and $15 for students (with ID). Tickets are also available by calling 877-755-6277.
About Bella Voce
Bella Voce, Chicago’s premier professional chamber choir, is renowned for performing traditional and cotemporary, sacred and secular choral music, which inspires and exhilarates its audiences. It continues to honor the traditions that won this stellar choral group so many admirers and supporters over the years while also exploring new repertoire.
Bella Voce received the prestigious Alice Parker ASCAP Chorus America Award in 2004 for programming that was “an adventurous stretch” for both singers and audience, notably the 2002 Midwest premiere of Einojuhani Rautavaara’s “Vigilia.” The ensemble has recorded for Centaur, Harmonia Mundi, Narada, and Cedille Records. It has three self-produced CDs in release.
