Early Music Now will hold its 17th Annual Meeting from 6 PM until 9 PM on Tuesday evening, 10 June 2003, at 4667 North Wilshire Road, Milwaukeee, Wisconsin. (First street north of Whitefish Bay/Shorewood border off of Lake Drive.)

Beginning at six o'clock, attendees will experience sumptuous treats for ear and tongue, and with a novel twist. During libations and a delicious and diverse Pot Luck Supper (to which all are invited to contribute a favorite dish or to try out a new recipe), diners will be serenaded by the sweet sounds of Milwaukee's own Broderie Recorder Consort.

Following a brief business meeting, Ralph Bielenberg will enlighten attendees with a discussion of the changes our mother tongue has sustained from the Old English Beowulf, through the Wife of Bath's adventures, as recounted in Middle English by Chaucer in his Canterbury Tales, to our own present, ever-changing varieties of the Queen's and the Colonies' English.

Following the lecture will be Early Music Now's first-ever Madrigal Sing-Along. Scores with translations and instructions will be provided as needed.

Please call the office (414-225-3113) with your RSVP ASAP!  Newcomers welcome!
