RE: Nicholas Kraemer Conducts the Brandenburgs and More
In mid-March, Nicholas Kraemer leads three of J. S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos, Nos. 3, 4, and 6, as well as a triple violin concerto from volume two of Tafelmusik by Georg Philipp Telemann, and music by Georg Muffat. These concerts, scored for intimate forces, take place Sunday evening, March 13, at First United Methodist Church in Evanston, and Monday evening, March 14, at the Harris Theater.
Long recognized as one of Chicago’s leading classical ensembles, Music of the Baroque specializes in the performance of 18th-century works for chorus and orchestra. Subscription packages and single tickets for the 40th concert 2010–11 season are on sale online at www.baroque.org or by calling the Music of the Baroque box office, 312.551.1414.
