L’Ensemble Portique: A Musical Passage from the Baroque to the Contemporary announces its new CD: TASTE OF PORTIQUE.
The CD consists of selected pieces chosen primarily from L’Ensemble Portique’s inaugural 2002-2003 season, including music for recorder and harpsichord obbligato, and chamber music from the 20th and 21st centuries, recorded from live performances.
Works by Boismortier, Telemann, JS Bach, CPE Bach, Lennox Berkeley, Max Yount, Otto Luening, Bohuslav Martinu, Dan Maske and Astor Piazzolla.
Musicians include Lisette Kielson, recorders and flute; John Babbitt, double bass; Ana Ruth Bermudez, cello; Linda E. Jones, clarinet; Pablo Mahave-Veglia, baroque cello; Karl Orvik, violin; May Phang, piano; Duncan Pledger, viola da gamba; Nathan Wysock, guitar; and Max H. Yount, harpsichord.
