Hello, My name is Craig Seay. I am currently writing a book with the help of Charles Mintzer, on the life of Charles Marshall, leading dramatic tenor of the Chicago Civic Opera Company for 12 years, 1920-1932. We believe that there are no known commercial recordings of Charles Marshall, however there may be surviving radio broadcast or live recordings of his later performances. If you know of the whereabouts of any recordings on Charles Marshall, also known in Europe as Carlo Marziali, your help will be greatly appreciated and rewarded. Charles Mintzer, author of "Rosa Raisa, A Biography of a Diva with selections from Her Memoirs", is a tremendously talented and knowledgable author, currently considered by many to be the most authoritative writer and historian on the Chicago Civic Opera. I highly recommend that you read his biography on Rosa Raisa. You won't be able to put it down!

I can't help you in what you're asking, but what I would like to know is in what year Charles Marshall died. I believe he was born in 1886. Thanks. Wayne Ingersoll
