Please note two important announcements this month for EMA members:
MEDIEVAL RENAISSANCE COMPETITION RESCHEDULED
Early Music America has rescheduled its second Medieval/Renaissance Performance Competition to 2006 to encourage more applications. The winner of the competition will receive the Unicorn Prize ($5,000 in cash) and a concert performance sponsored by EMA as a concurrent event at the Boston Early Music Festival in June 2007. The competition is designed to encourage the development of emerging artists in the performance of medieval and Renaissance music. More information may be found at http://www.earlymusic.org/

BERKELEY FESTIVAL AND EXHIBITION
EARLY MUSIC AMERICA NATIONAL CONFERENCE
The Ninth Biennial Berkeley Festival and Exhibition has been scheduled for June 5-11, 2006, to be produced by Cal Performances in partnership with the San Francisco Early Music Society and Early Music America. EMA will present its second national conference June 8-10, 2006 at the Berkeley City Club.
