Alpha's superb early music CDs haven't exactly been easy to find, even at the decent (but cash-strapped) retailers.

Their US distributor, Forte Distribution, has come to the rescue by launching their own store, shopforte.com -- and for the launch they've thrown a bone to us cheapskates and put the whole line on sale at 25% off through July 21.

Lots of goodies on this label -- a surprisingly evocative Dufay Missa L'homme Armée performed by Diabolus in Musica, lots of wonderful Italian and French baroque repertoire played by Christina Pluhar and L'Arpeggiata, a few superb song titles with marco Beasley, and a stellar recording of Bach's Goldberg Variations played by Céline Frisch with an extra disc containing recordings of the two songs that form the 30th variation Quodlibet.
