Rimple is known for his performances as both a countertenor and a medieval and renaissance lutenist. He is a co-founding member of Trefoil, a New York based vocal-instrumental trio devoted to the performance of fourteenth century music, and since the fall of 2001, he has been a regular guest artist with the Newberry Consort. Rimple is assistant professor of music theory and composition at the West Chester University School of Music. The Newberry Consort will present four performances of Machaut and the Medieval World in Chicago, Oak Park and Evanston. Ticket prices vary by section and venue, but range from $20-$37 for general attendance, $18-$33 for Library Associates and seniors, and $10-$18.50 for students. Newberry Library and at the Northwestern University School of Music.
