Ars Musica Chicago will perform a concert "Judaic Journey: Music by and about the Jewish Tradition from the Italian Baroque", featuring the music of Salamone Rossi, one of the few composers of Jewish descent to have a major impact on the Italian 17th century, also Esther, an oratorio by Alessandro Stradella.  Readings will further highlight the cultural importance the Jews had in Italy during the Baroque period.
