Except for special events, we only list radio broadcasts one month in advance.  For many of these broadcasts, WFMT Radio is local to Chicago (98.7 FM in the Chicago area) but is also available on cable and over the Internet worldwide.  Note that WFMT will often broadcast early music in the 12:00 midnight-6:00 AM "Through the Night with Peter van de Graaff" program, also the 6:00 AM-9:00 AM "Mornings with Carl Grapentine" program.

Baroque & Before

Thursdays, 10:00-11:00 PM CST
(This is Chicago time; check the program website for broadcasts elsewhere, including possible Internet broadcasts.  The broadcast may also occasionally be delayed somewhat later than 10:00, depending on the early evening's schedule.)  Baroque&Before explores works written before 1750, featuring live concert recordings from some of the world's most prestigious early music festivals, as well as commercially released recordings from WFMT's vast collection in the Richard and Mary L. Gray Music Library.  From Russia to the Americas, from Northern Europe to the Mediterranean and Middle East, producer and host Candice Agree presents internationally known artists on the early music scene, crafting a delightful mix of musicianship, music, and history.
