The University of Chicago Motet Choir, James Kallembach, director, will present "The Caged Byrd Stille Sings", a live documentary on the struggles of Catholic composer William Byrd in Protestant Elizabethan England.  Byrd's Mass for Four Voices is the centerpiece, plus work of his Spanish colleague Phillippe De Monte.  Interspersed are readings of their correspondence and scenes of Shakespeare.
