The Newberry Consort presents a special benefit performance "The Harp of Melody", previewing the Consort's latest recording project in honor of the late musicologist and friend Howard Mayer Brown.  Proceeds go to the Newberry Consort and their 2003-2004 season.  The evening includes an intimate performance, drinks, and after-concert reception with the artists.

The Early Music Series at the Byron Colby Barn presents a concert by Concerts Royaux, featuring Anita Rieder, baroque flute; Craig Trompeter, viola da gamba; and Peter Swenson, theorbo.  Concerts Royeaux will play Gallic airs, chaconnes, and dances in recreating the glory of Versailles, the palace of the 18th century French "Sun King", Louis XIV.
Cost:  Individual tickets are $15. Series subscription price is $72, or $12 per concert.  Children under the age of 16 are free.
