Midwest Young Artists
Midwest Young Artists Early Music Workshop The Midwest Young Artists' Early Music Ensemble provides an opportunity for students to learn early music repertoire, phrasing, and techniques as well as to actually hear the differences as they perform on period instruments.  MYA's Walgreens National Concerto Competition includes an Early Music component, and winners of that competition have the opportunity to perform in concert with Ars Antigua.

Deborah Page, John Kearin, Daniel Frim, Lucy Colman The only independent community music school in Illinois, and serving students of all ages and levels of interest, the Music Institute of Chicago offers comprehensive private instruction as well as group classes and ensembles for all instruments, piano, and voice.  MIC's Early Music Division offers instruction in Baroque violin, harpsichord, organ, recorder, viola da gamba, lute, natural trumpet, and other early instruments, and hosts intermediate and advanced chamber music groups for adults playing recorder and viola da gamba.
